  Jada Homes works directly with Ellul Architecture, bringing design and construction together in an integrated process. Each home is built the way it was designed, with budget and buildability front of mind from the first sketch — removing the uncertainty that so often defines the client experience.

• Process

  The traditional approach to building a house — architect first, builder second — often comes with an uncomfortable degree of uncertainty. Budgets shift. Timelines slip. Decisions made on paper don’t always make it through to the finished home.

  Our process is built for certainty: practical, pragmatic, and one that gives clients confidence their home will be built, on budget. We continue to refine this way of working, with each project we collaborate on.

  1. Consultation

  Typically led by Ellul Architecture, often together with Jada Homes, this first meeting is about listening — understanding the site, your brief, budget considerations, and the way you live. There’s no obligation at this stage, just a conversation about the home you’re hoping to build. From there, we’ll provide a clear cost for the design process, so you can decide how to move forward.

  2. Design

  Ellul Architecture develops your brief into an initial floorplan, with an early sense of material and form – refining it together until the design feels right. From here, Ellul Architecture and Jada Homes workshop materials, construction methods and details together, ensuring the design is buildable and within budget. Construction drawings and planning approvals are finalised by Ellul Architecture, with Jada Homes’ ongoing input, and you receive a fixed contract and clear cost to build.

  3. Construction

  Jada Homes manages every aspect of the build — coordinating trades, managing the program and maintaining open communication with you throughout. Ellul Architecture provides ongoing oversight during construction, ensuring design intent is preserved from foundation to finishes, with regular site meetings between architect and builder to resolve details as they arise.

  4. Completion

  Once construction is complete, we’ll take you through your new home — checking every detail against the design and addressing anything that needs attention, before handover. We stay in touch as you settle in, and are on hand for any ongoing support that might be required.

  Jayson Davidson founded Jada Homes over a decade ago, and leads every project personally. He believes the best homes are a result of a client who feels heard, so every build starts with a genuine conversation.

  Jayson approaches every project with a builder’s instinct, finding ways to construct each home within budget, without compromising the design intent — using humble materials, assembled with care.

  Ellul Architecture

  Ellul Architecture is a design-led practice, with work that is highly refined and often deliberately understated — architecture and interiors that favour elevated simplicity over statement-making. Their approach is rigorous and decisive, resulting in projects that are pragmatic, confident, and conceptually clear.

  The Melbourne-based studio was founded by architect Ben Ellul, and offers a full range of architectural services, from feasibility studies through to site services, and everything in between.
